JD Clark
Bio…
An equal mix of outlaw country, 90’s new traditional, and modern songwriting, native Austinite JD Clark’s music has a wide range of fans. A band that is loved by millennials to grandparents, his songwriting evokes a classic sound. Raised by musicians, JD’s style strays away from the watered-down pop country currently playing on the radio and is more reminiscent of country favorites from the 80s and 90s. With odes to his home state of Texas, catching up on memories of past love, and a couple of drinking tunes, his songs have a story to tell. The Stuck in the Mud Band is comprised of some of the hardest working musicians in Austin, including Doug Walseth on lead guitar and lap steel, Vince Delgado on bass, and Felipe Granados on drums. Playing in a mix of Austin’s most recognized and newest venues, the band puts on a show that has everyone (attempting to) two-stepping. The band brings the same honky-tonk energy to their first album. Raised by musicians in Austin, Texas, JD Clark’s music spans from soulful lows to honky tonk highs. His songs are inspired by country music from past to present and tell stories of heartbreak and hell raisin’.
